JJ B-day

Here is JJ with his 3rd birthday cake.  Leonardo the Ninja Turtle, courtesy of Chef Momma.  We had 8 kids (7 of them boys) in the house along with a few family and friends for a great couple of hours with snacks, high-strung high-speed playtime, cake and presents.  

We are thinking that future birthday parties may need to take place at a public venue...they are so much WORK!  It was truly a fun day, just exhausting.  We are going to have another little party for him on Wednesday, just the four of us.  

I put together a little slideshow of Jaylon's first three years.  It is so cool to see the little baby turn into a big boy!  He is working through some strong urges of rebellion at this point in his life.  Nothing that worked with Eli seems to have much impact on him.  We're figuring him out, though.

Eli did pretty well taking a back seat for his little brother's big day.  Toward the end of the afternoon, he starting entering the meltdown stage, so I had to exile him to napland about thirty minutes before every left.

AJ and Alarris are headed home tonight, so it's back to the normal routine.  Hope all is well with everyone...and that you have a great week!
