Well, our New Year's Eve kid party went very well! We had a snack buffet which the kids could hit as often as they liked (presented by Jaylon in the pic). It was stocked mostly with crackers, pretzels and other sugarless items....but I did go ahead and put a few gummy worms in there. The baby carrots were the last to go. As you can see, Eli hit the video games pretty hard and his good buddy, River, was right there with him. I blocked up one couch behind the other to make some stadium seating in the main living room for movie watching. We also had a game table where the kids could play Jenga, Candyland, Hungry Hippos and a few other kid classics.
After pizza, snacks, movies, games, toys, playtime, video games and the midnight countdown...we were all ready to crash. Only 6 kids, including ours, of the original 12 were left to celebrate the first seconds of the new year.
Everyone had a great time. The kids were much more low-key than they have been at our previous gatherings, which was nice for the adults. Hope your evenings were as wonderful as ours! Happy New Year!

yes, eli looks pretty intent. low key=video games! maybe when he grows up, HE can fix my computer!
Very brave. You and Uncle Bob have that in common. He would always let Sarah have sleep overs with lots of little ones and not bat an eye. Me... a little hesitant to have a bunch of screaming little girls. Good for you.

MY DAD ROCKS! I bet he'd still let me have a sleep over. :) Looks like you guys had an awesome time. I should have stayed around and partied with you! :)
