Great Wolf Lodge!

Well....it was just fantastic.  We arrived around 1:30 on Sunday and they let us check in early!  We packed in our clothes and food, organized the room and we were ready to splash.  The waterpark is just about 2 degrees less than warm....not enough to make you shiver, but enough to make you want to keep your shoulders in the water.  That didn't bother us, though.  We were just thrilled to be splashing around in nothing but our swimsuits in late January.

From the kiddie pool, to the giant play structure with two single-person slides, to the lazy river, to the 4 ft play pool, to the three enormous tube slides, we stayed busy all six times we hit the park.  Jaylon's favorite was a loop he ran about 100 times.  He would shoot up the steps, across the bridge, up more steps, through the tunnel, dodge the water guns, up more steps, and finally jump into the opening of his favorite...the red single-person slide.  It was long and fast.....and when he would splash down at the bottom, he jumped out, gave the lifeguard a high-five, and start the loop all over again.

Eli's favorites were the hot tub and lazy river (wha?!?!?).  What can I say, he likes to be warm.  He got pumped up about the slides just as much....but if given the choice, he wanted to submerge.  He spent the rest of his time making goofy faces for the camera.

Brooke, of course, was a sucker for the big slides.  She was so happy that the boys got excited about them and would go with her just about as much as she wanted.  Lots of whoopin and squealin would always signify that she and one of the boys were about to emerge into one of the catch pools.

Me, I just loved it all.  It was so relaxing to disconnect from the digital, scheduled world and just love and enjoy my family.

We hit the T-Rex Dinosaur Restaurant before heading home.  What a trip!
