Brooke said that the meeting with the doc went very well. He is very positive and confident about the procedure. He won't be able to make a final determination about the viability of the surgery until he has looked directly at the intestines. One possibility is that he will get to that point and call off the whole thing. However, he may feel that her condition is optimal for the task and begin removal of tumors and possibly apply some heated chemo treatments.
His nurse is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and will join the family in the waiting room periodically to update them on the doctor's findings and progress. Hopefully, we will all stay informed throughout the day!
